Here are answers to some of the ones we're most often asked.

Can you send me a list of Lipton® Recipe Secrets® products which are gluten free? 

Ingredients that may contain gluten are always listed on the label. Since product formulations change from time to time, we do not have a printed list of products that identifies those products that contain specific allergens or gluten. The best advice we can give you is to check the ingredient list on the label. If you cannot determine whether the product contains the ingredient in question, we suggest you do not use it.

Can you send me some coupons or samples? 

At this time, we are not distributing any free samples or coupons for our products. We recommend that you check home, cooking and general interest magazines or your newspaper circulars for cents-off coupons. There are also special offers and promotions right here on our web site.

Where is the best place to buy Lipton® Recipe Secrets®? 

Lipton® Recipe Secrets® are available nationally to any store wishing to carry them. Although we would like each of our products to be available in all stores, shelf space and consumer demand sometimes limit the number of items a retailer is willing to carry. Can you tell me what is in the Natural Flavors of your products? 

Our Natural Flavorings and spices not specifically listed on the package are part of our formulation which makes our products unique. These are proprietary and cannot be shared.

If the natural flavor contained any of the following top 8 allergens, we would label as “natural flavors, contains (allergen name)”:

What are the current Recipe Secrets® products available? 

The following varieties of Recipe Secrets® are currently available: Beefy Onion, Golden Onion, Onion, Onion-Mushroom, Savory Herb with Garlic, and Vegetable.

Are any Recipe Secrets® products dairy/lactose free? 

Ingredients that may contain any of the top eight allergens as defined by FDA: peanuts, tree nuts, soy, fish, seafood, wheat, eggs, and milk or dairy, as well as any ingredient that may contain gluten are always listed on the label.

How do I understand the date codes on your products? 

Lipton® Recipe Secrets® have a “Best if Used By” Date printed on every package. That is the date that assures the product’s optimum quality and freshness. We recommend that you use your product by that date.

Are Recipe Secrets® products Kosher? 

Lipton currently makes a line of Kosher Recipe Secrets® products. This line includes: Onion, Vegetable and Ranch.

Do your products contain cholesterol? 

If cholesterol is present in a product, you will find the amount per serving listed on the Nutrition Facts panel on each package.

Where can I obtain Recipe Secrets® recipes?

Do Lipton® Recipe Secrets® products contain MSG? 

If MSG is present in a product either directly added or as a component of another ingredient, it will be listed on the label as MSG or monosodium glutamate. It is never hidden under any other ingredient listing. Lipton's practice is to use MSG only when we believe it is necessary to formulate the best tasting product.

Can you recommend the best way to use a portion of the Lipton® Recipe Secrets® envelopes? 

We do not recommend using partial envelopes of the products. Once the envelope is opened, contents may be affected by air, heat, humidity, etc. We recommend using the entire contents of envelopes at one time because the products are made up of many components. Use of partial contents may result in an imbalance of ingredients and less than favorable results. It is preferable to prepare the entire amount and store any leftovers for later use.

While I was overseas, I found some Lipton® products that I haven’t found here. Where can I purchase these products? 

Unfortunately, there is no way to purchase these products in the United States. The various products which our company manufactures and markets in the United States are designed to meet the needs and preferences of the American consumer along with our government regulatory standards.

How can I obtain donations from Unilever? 

Thank you for contacting us about a Unilever product donation.

As you can imagine, we receive thousands of requests for products throughout the year from many worthy organizations. Rather than reply to individual appeals, we have made the decision to provide product regularly to two not-for-profit organizations - Feeding America and Feed the Children - for distribution to relevant food banks and other qualified agencies that service needy members of our communities across the United States.

Although we would like to support all the commendable causes that are brought to our attention, we simply are unable to do so, and will not be able to accommodate your request at this time.

I recently had a wonderful Lipton® product at a local restaurant. Where can I buy these products? 

Some products, and certain package sizes are marketed only through our Foodservice Division. These products are sold only to restaurants and other institutions and are not available for retail sale at this time.

What is the best way to store my Lipton® Recipe Secrets®? 

Always store unopened envelopes and packages in a cool dry place away from light. Once prepared, product should always be kept refrigerated.

Are there any trans fats in your products? 

If trans fat is present in a product, you will find the amount per serving listed on the Nutrition Facts panel on each package.

How can I find out about the latest promotions from Lipton® Recipe Secrets®? 

Current promotions can be found on the home page of this web site and makinglifebetter.com. Also we frequently run promotions through newspapers, so be sure to check the weekly circulars for promotions as well.
