Organize Your Spice Rack
- Set up a spice rack near your counter or next to the stove so seasonings that you use frequently are always within arm’s reach.
- Alphabetize the spices — and keep them that way — so you can find the cumin quickly.
- Group similar foods together and dedicate shelf space accordingly: Put cereals in one area; arrange oils, vinegars, dressings and marinades together in another space; give spaghetti sauce and pasta a separate shelf.
- Arrange all cans, jars, bottles and boxes on shelves with their labels facing forward.
