Learn how to feel fuller. Recent studies have shown that it’s possible to feel more satisfied if you eat smaller meals, as long as they contain the right nutrients. Foods with fiber, protein and a high water content contribute to a feeling of satiation. Fruits and vegetables are high in fiber and water, low in calories. All types of beans are high in both fiber and protein. Prepare your own meals, and use these more healthful ingredients whenever possible.
Stay on track with smart habits. Drink plenty of water — often times people think they are hungry when they are actually thirsty. Experiment with herbs and spices. Remember, healthy doesn’t have to mean flavorless! For instance, when grilling salmon, use dill.
