Apple 'n Peanut Crisp

Serves: 8 • Prep time: 20 min • Cook time: 40 min

  • 4 Granny Smith apples, peeled and thinly sliced (about 6 cups)
  • 2 Tbsp. PLUS 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 1/2 cup uncooked quick oats
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 Tbsp. Skippy ® Creamy or Super Chunk ® Peanut Butter
  • 3 Tbsp. Shedd's Spread Country Crock® Spread
  • 4 cups Breyers® All Natural Vanilla Ice Cream
  1. Preheat oven to 425°.
  2. Toss apples, 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon in 8-inch baking dish sprayed with nonstick cooking spray; sprinkle with water and set aside.
  3. Combine oats, flour and remaining 1/4 cup sugar in medium bowl. Cut in Skippy® Creamy Peanut Butter and Spread with pastry blender or two knives until mixture is size of small peas. Evenly sprinkle crumbs over apples; cover with aluminium foil. Bake 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake uncovered an additional 20 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is crisp and golden. Serve warm or at room temperature and top with Breyers® All Natural Ice Cream.

    The peanut butter really adds to it and give it that little bit of extra flavour. I'm definitely going to make it this way from now on!

    I wasn't a huge fan of the peanut butter to be honest, it was still a creative way to change apple crisp and it was good but it's not one the best i've tasted

    This wasn't bad, the peanut butter makes it quite different from the average apple crisp, all in all i enjoyed it.
