Savory Sausage Stuffing

Serves: 6 • Prep time: 10 min • Cook time: 20 min

  • 1/2 lb. sweet Italian sausage, removed from casings
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1 package Knorr® Rice Sides™ - Chicken
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds, toasted

Cook sausage, onion and celery in 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, 3 minutes or until sausage is browned. Stir in Knorr® Rice Sides™ - Chicken and cook, stirring constantly, 1 minute or until golden brown. Add water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes or until rice is tender. Stir in almonds and, if desired, freshly ground black pepper.

    All in all this wasn't bad but it's not the kind of stuffing i'd make very often... i do dinners every 2 weeks so we have stuffing quite a bit, i changed it up and made this one and it's not my favorite.
