Grilled Fruit Sundaes

Serves: 4 • Prep time: 15 min • Cook time: 15 min

  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 3 cups cut-up fruit (pineapple, strawberries, kiwi, peaches, banana, and/or apple)
  • 12 small scoops Breyers® All Natural Vanilla or Cherry Vanilla Ice Cream (about 2 cups)

Bring orange juice, honey and lemon juice to a boil over high heat in 1-quart saucepan, stirring frequently. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes or until slighty thickened. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.

Alternately thread fruit on skewers*. Grill kabobs, turning once and brushing with 1/2 of the orange syrup, 4 minutes or until softened.

Scoop Breyers® All Natural Vanilla Ice Cream into 4 dessert dishes. Evenly top with fruit, then drizzle with remaining orange syrup.

*If using wooden skewers soat at least 30 minutes prior to use.

    I never would have thought to even try grilling fruit. I've had it deep fried before, but this seems like such a better idea.

    fruit on the grill wasn`t something I had tried before and it turned into a great summer treat I look forward to each year.

    I don't always use the same fruits either Anna, but i gotta say theres something about grilled fruit that makes your eyes wanna roll back when taste it! Very Good!
