Picture of the Holiday Roasted Turkey recipe
  • 10- to 12- lb. fresh or frozen thawed whole turkey
  • 1/2 cup Shedd's Spread Country Crock® Omega Plus
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 tsp. dried rosemary leaves
  • 1-1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. grated lemon peel
  • 3/4 tsp. ground black pepper

Preheat oven to 425°. Remove giblets from turkey cavity and rinse turkey inside and out; pat dry with paper towels.

In small microwave-safe bowl, microwave remaining ingredients at HIGH 10 seconds or until Spread is melted; stir. Starting at cavity opening, gently loosen skin on turkey and evenly spread 1/2 of the mixture under skin, then spread remaining over outside of turkey.

In large roasting pan with rack, arrange turkey breast side up. Roast 15 minutes. Decrease oven to 350° and roast an additional 2 hours or until meat thermometer inserted in thickest part of the thigh reaches 180°. Let stand covered loosely with aluminum foil 20 minutes before carving.

putting the mixture under the skin keeps it moist I was really impressed if you just use butter on the outside normally your bird will dry out a bit.
