1-2-3 Chicken Cacciatore (6 Servings) Although this recipe simmers for awhile, it's mostly untended cooking, which frees you up.

  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 lbs. chicken legs and thighs
  • 1 jar (1 lb. 10 oz.) RaguĀ® Chunky Pasta Sauce
  • 3 cups hot cooked rice
  1. Heat oil in 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat and brown chicken.
  2. Stir in Pasta Sauce. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer covered 45 minutes or until chicken is thoroughly cooked.
  3. Serve with hot rice.

    I love this recipe but I agree it needed something else. I added Italian Seasoning and minced garlic and fresh ground black pepper.

    Not my usual kind of chicken, but once I gave it a chance I liked it. Healthier than fried and breaded at least!
