A Slow Cooker for All Seasons
Lauren of Unilever Consumer Kitchens explains how to make use of your slow cooker, year-round.

Summer is approaching, and with it will come warm weather and more opportunities for outdoor grilling. So, go on and head outdoors, but don't shelve your slow cooker just yet. Even though you might associate it with cold-weather comfort foods, there are several advantages to keeping the slow cooker out all year long.
They're perfect for cooking family favorites during those warm summer months because they won't heat up the entire kitchen.
Slow-cooker recipes usually require only a few minutes of prep time, so the long untended cooking leaves you plenty of time to enjoy other outdoor activities.
Including one slow-cooker menu item, such as Slow Cooked Pulled Pork or Barbecue Beef, at your next get-together will relieve some of the pressure of having to prepare a lot of food at the same time. Make a dish the day before the party and heat it up in the slow cooker an hour before your guests arrive. One less item to grill can make a big difference! And hey, before you know it, it just may become your most requested recipe.
